BIRDS ON WIRE
design: Harry Allen
The Birds On Wire coat rack borrows its shape from, well, birds on a wire. Every day on his commute into New York City, the designer passes under wires filled with hundreds of birds. He sought to capture this beautiful sight in a product. A photograph was abstracted and turned into a laser cut metal outline with hooks for coats. Birds On Wire is one part victorian silhouette, one part Flintstones flashback, and one part functional addition to any home.
